Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group is seeking a dynamic, board-certified surgical physician leader to serve as the Chair of Surgery at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, Connecticut. This is an exciting opportunity to implement your vision and leadership in a flourishing environment.

The chair will oversee:

  • All aspects of service line quality, operations and growth.
  • Supporting our various certifications, including Level II Trauma Designation, Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and participation in the American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Project (NSQIP).

 We are seeking a Physician Leader who is:

  • A board-certified, established general surgeon or fellowship-trained surgical subspecialist with at least 7 years of clinical experience and proven leadership track record.
  • A visionary who can foster physician development and the growth of the surgical service line.
  • An excellent resource for surgical resident and fellow training.
  • A strong relationship-builder who can relate, work collaboratively with and provide oversight to both our employed and community physicians.
