Saint Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, Connecticut—a member of Trinity Health Of New England, the region’s largest nonprofit health system—seeks an experienced, certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Cardiovascular team at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, Connecticut.
This is an exciting full-time opportunity within a highly collaborative cardiovascular team. In this role, you will work as an integral part of our comprehensive care team alongside cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, electrophysiologists and nurses to provide support with procedures, assessments and interventions. The advanced practitioner will be asked to conduct follow-up consultation, develop discharge summaries and provide transitional care management for congestive heart failure, acute coronary syndrome and arrhythmia patients. You will have ample opportunity to maximize your clinical skills within the cardiovascular specialty, while also participating in quality improvement projects that help to enhance our cardiovascular services and patient care. The successful candidate should be a licensed and certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with experience working within an advanced cardiovascular care unit. Additional training or experience with acute myocardial infarction, intra-aortic balloon pump, impeller, postoperative bypass and valve replacement procedures is preferred. We are seeking a collaborative professional who can work independently and provide excellent communication and who is driven to provide excellent patient care with respect and compassion.
