Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group is seeking a full-time acute care nurse practitioner to join the ACS-verified Level 1 Trauma Center Team at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT.
Join a collaborative team of six surgeons who ensure 24-hour/7-day coverage to respond to any emergency. You will have the opportunity to be involved in resident education with our rotating students from UConn and Quinnipiac Universities. This practice is not only providing care for patients who experience traumatic injuries, but also on call for surgical emergencies and critical care issues. This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of trauma patients cared for by the acute care surgery/ trauma surgery team. Responsibilities would include assisting with coverage of the trauma service on Fridays; collaborating with the trauma performance improvement team; attending monthly multidisciplinary meetings as acting geriatric liaison; performing ACS-mandated assessments, including mental health screenings and referrals, SBIRT assessments and referrals; and assisting in the continuum of care for trauma patients after their transition from critical care.
